The founder of Arndt Funeral Home is Ronald John Arndt. He was born in Rochester, New York, attended Holy Redeemer School, Hosea Rogers School, graduated from Irondequoit High School, received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, and attended Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in Syracuse, New York. He served his apprenticeship in funeral service at Frank E. Campbell, the Funeral Church, in New York City. On July 25, 1963, he was licensed to practice Funeral Directing in the State of New York . After many years of funeral service trade work, Arndt Funeral Home was built in 1975 at 1118 Long Pond Road, in the Town of Greece, New York.

Since that time, several other funeral homes have opened in this area that are controlled by large corporations in Canada and Kansas City. Arndt Funeral Home is truly family owned, and not just a name that a large corporation has decided to put in its advertisements or corporate name to make people think it is a family run business.

Ronald John Arndt is the owner, founder and licensed manager of Arndt Funeral Home. His son, Robert John Arndt got his license to practice funeral directing in New York State on April 1, 1991. Shari Lynn Arndt, Ron's daughter, got her license to practice funeral directing in New York State on August 25, 1995.
